Last Saturday our little family was up in Manchester, for what I reckon is the best blogging conference around; Blog On. James took the girls around the Museum of Science & Industry for the day, while I was up on the top floor in their conference rooms, chatting to other bloggers and learning stuff.
The brands that come along to Blog On are always great, super friendly and approachable. I love Hotter who were their with their insanely comfy shoes, their hotter bus – and a baby bus! CamelBak were there with some clever bits & pieces including a leakproof bottle. The goody bag had one of their eddy kids spill-proof bottles in and I am not sure I want to share that one with the girls, I might just keep it myself. After all I did win Georgie one of their kids rucksacks on the raffle!
I really enjoyed the sessions this year, and the photography session by Jenny Soppet-Smith was my favourite. She chatted to us a while, about finding interesting things amongst the mundane, and all the things you can consider while taking a photograph.
We were sent off around MOSI to take photographs of the interesting exhibits with a different perspective to normal. I headed to the Power Hall to check out the engines, and say hi to my girls who were missing their Mummy.

When life gives you lemons… take a photograph?
I just loved these bolts lying there.
Every year a charity is chosen to be supported at Blog On, and this year they are raising money for Super Shoes, who hand decorate shoes for seriously ill and disabled children, to bring smiles to their faces. To raise some cash for this deserving cause, there was a stationery lucky dip, a tombola and a raffle.
The lucky dip was irresistible for an addict like me – I bought two packages when signing in and promptly handed the presents over to my girls who had come with their Daddy to find me, as they were upset about me disappearing off. I got three prizes on the tombola – including an awesome Munchkin starfish fountain the girls love, and two raffle prizes. Not bad, and it was great to be able to give my bit to Super Shoes too – how cool are these Mario shoes?! I am rather envious of these…
Blog On 2015 was definitely a great day and I am looking forward to next year!
